MITHRAM is a registered charitable society (Regn.No.ER.561/93) founded in 1993 by a group of parents of mentally challenged persons with the objective of working to achieve total care, protection, education, vocational training and rehabilitation of persons with Autism, Cerebral palsy. Intellectual and multiple disabilities.
Donation to us to be drawn in favour of 'Mithram'. Donations eligible for Tax Exemption under Rule 80G of Income Tax Act. Registered under FCRA to receive donations from abroad. Donors need to submit copy of PAN or Aadhaar. We also seek sponsorship to help underprivileged individuals enrolled in Mithram.

It was part of our mission to set up a complex with necessary service centers as a model institution which could be an inspiration to parents of other localities to initiate movements like ours so that welfare activities would reach the entire intellectually affected in the country in due course
There are two Residential Care Homes one each for men and women.Admission to care home is restricted to adults (Above 18 years old). At present 38 persons are utilizing the services of care homes for prolonged stay and respite care. The residents are well cared and are enrolled in Mithram Special School and they have a fully engaged routine.
The mentally challenged are taught according to their individual capacities. More stress is given in making these persons capable to lead their life independently or with minimum dependence. Admission to special school is restricted to the age of 18 years. We have our own school bus.We have a playground and facilities for physiotherapy, yoga, exercise etc.
Saksharatha Mission of education adults, Mithram provides training, Academics and Computer for better understanding, Certificates from the Govt. of Kerala is issued for the passed students. Computer training is provided for data entry operation.
The Vocational Training and Sheltered Employment forms part of the Rehabilitation activities of Mithram. Training in vocational activities is given in such a way that the potential in them is taken out in the best possible manner. Read more...
Physiotherapy plays a very important role in the case of disabled persons to improve their co-ordination,muscular improvement and moveability. Periodic medical check up for beneficiaries is done and clinical assessment to each person is made by the consultant medical professsionals. We participate in workshops organized by other institutions and are always keen on updating the developments in the field. We participate in all sports and cultural competitions and programmes. MITHRAM COMPLEX: is located in its own campus of 3 acres(ie area 2.13 acres owned by Mithram and 1.00 acre by parents) of land nestling amongst natural greenery earmarked as pollution free village area. It is situated approximately 20 kilometres away from Cochin in Ernakulam District.
